Professors Honored At Class Day

Interim Dean Gerald A. Navratil has announced that a new award has been established by the Rodriguez Family and will be given for the first time this year at Class Day, Monday, May 19. The Rodriguez Family Junior Faculty Diversity Award, created by Ana Rodriguez '86, '88, and her brother, Marcos Rodriguez '83, will support the advancement of under-represented junior faculty. This award joins the Kim Award for Faculty Involvement and the Janette and Armen Avanessians Diversity Award as honors bestowed by the School to faculty members who have exhibited the special qualities that these awards recognize.

"The School is particularly fortunate to have benefactors who wish to encourage our faculty to make a difference in the lives of our students and to reach their own full potential," said Dean Navratil. "We are grateful to the Kims, the Avanessians, and the Rodriguez Family for endowing these awards."
