Free Email Forwarding In response to many requests from Columbia alumni, especially engineers, the University has launched a free, permanent email forwarding system that allows alumni to use the same email address even with a change of Internet service providers. Registration and updating information can be performed through the University website at http://www.columbia.edu/cu/alumni/forward. Some alumni already have received a mailing informing them of their unique user names and personal identification numbers. Recent alumni will be assigned their original Columbia email addresses while graduates from earlier classes will be assigned an email address, such as you25. Unlike some university alumni systems, the Columbia email address has the same ending as that of a current student, i.e., columbia.edu. If you wish to register immediately, you may use the website, email alumni@columbia.edu, or call the Alumni Email Office at 212-870-2262.
