Lions of All Ages Celebrate Reunion ’04
A record number of SEAS alumni and their families celebrated Reunion
’04, gathering under two tents on Pupin Plaza for a luncheon
that celebrated friendship and remembrance. In one tent, the charter
members of the Golden Lions Society, who had graduated at least
50 years ago, received their Society pins, to the applause of family
and friends.
Earlier in the day, Shree Nayar, T.C. Chang professor of computer
science, gave the Magill Lecture on his work with computational
cameras, complete with 3-D glasses. He was subsequently featured
in Newsweek and The New York Times for his work in reconstructing
images found in the eyes of photographic subjects.
Tunnel and lab tours, wine tasting, and dinners were highlights
of the weekend, which started on Friday night for young alumni at
the Hammerstein Ballroom’s Casino Night and party after.
Plans are underway for another great Reunion where members of the
Class of 1955 will become the newest Golden Lions. Mark
your calendars: June 3-5, 2005!
