Engineering Young Alumni joined their College counterparts at a pre-game cocktail party in the School’s Carleton Lounge to celebrate the beginning of March Madness.
More than 130 young alums enjoyed the chance to socialize before adjourning to the Levien gym for the game against Princeton. SEAS alums, guests of the Columbia Engineering School Alumni Association, waved their pom-poms, and cheered for the team during an emotional and thrilling final game of the season. But screaming was not enough.
In a heart-stopping final few seconds, the Lions failed to keep the lead they held until the last 33 seconds of the game and ended one point shy of victory, 49-48.
