Marie Wieck


Marie earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering from The Cooper Union, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, and a Master’s of Business Administration from New York University.

Marie joined IBM in 1983. She has held a variety of technical and executive roles in IBM’s hardware, software, services, and cloud units. In 2010 she was appointed General Manager of IBM’s WebSphere software division, and went on to lead IBM's Mobile, Middleware and Hybrid Cloud software businesses, before launching IBM's Blockchain business in 2017.  In this role, she helped sponsor the creation of the Columbia-IBM Center for Blockchain and Data Transparency. 

Marie is on the boards of Daimler AG, Mercedes Benz, and Charity Navigator.
