Goals
The COVID Tech Innovation Group has two tracks:
- addressing needs identified by healthcare workers combating coronavirus
- tackling unprecedented challenges prompted by wide-scale societal disruption
The team provides a collaboration platform for participants from engineering, science, healthcare, medicine, public health, business, and policy. In the short term, this group works to increase supplies of personal protective gear and other urgently needed medical equipment, while cataloging critical research topics that require longer-term research and development, such as rapid diagnostic tools and potential therapeutics. At the same time, the team looks for opportunities to mitigate long term impacts on product supply chains, financial systems, and emerging challenges to social infrastructure.
