Leon Gold

ADJUNCT PROFESSOR

Leon works as a consultant  in the fields of Human Factors and Industrial Psychology and was previously a Director of Usability at the New York Stock Exchange. His clients have included Bell Laboratories, IBM, the American Stock Exchange, the Port Authority, Craft Unions, and a variety of hospital settings

Leon's current interests include user and task centered design methodologies  and usability evaluation

Leon is grateful to have been teaching at Columbia for over 30 years and hopes his courses have encouraged students to become  user advocates in their professional endeavors.  

Leon Received his PH.D in Applied Psychology from Stevens Institute of technology in 1981
