This year, TEDxColumbiaEngineering featured a string of thought-provoking talks by several speakers, including Columbia Engineering Professors Christine Fleming (Electrical Engineering), Shree Nayar (Computer Science), Venkat Venkatasubramanian (Chemical Engineering), Chris Wiggins (Applied Mathematics), and Engineering alumnus Sean Kelly BS’05, social entrepreneur and nutrition activist. Delivering on the overall theme, “A Better Tomorrow,” speakers engaged the audiences about future ideas on topics ranging from technology, health care, nutrition, and entrepreneurship. TEDxColumbiaEngineering, now in its fourth year, was held October 25 at Miller Theatre and hosted by Graduate Student Affairs, the Office of the Dean, Columbia Engineering Student Council, and Columbia Engineering Graduate Student Council.
