Frequently Asked Questions

When will Reunion 2024 registration open?

Early-bird registration is open from now through March 27, 2024. Lock in this special rate by registering now! General registration will be open from then until June 1.

Walk-in registration will also be available on campus for most events unless the event has sold out in advance.

Where and when is registration check-in?

Alfred Lerner Hall, Campus Level (2nd Floor)

  • Arriving Thursday, May 30 | Please go directly to your events. You will formally check-in for the weekend and receive Reunion materials when you arrive on campus Friday or Saturday.
  • Arriving Friday, May 31| 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Arriving Saturday, June 1 | 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

What does Reunion 2024 cost?

A General Reunion Ticket is $75.00 during our Early Bird window, and $150.00 after March 27. Additional events can be added on à la carte - including Class Dinners, Chelsea Piers Party and the Dean’s Breakfast.

The Engineering General Reunion Weekend includes the following offerings for Friday and Saturday: 

  • All intellectual programs including: faculty lectures, alumni panels, and on campus tours and exhibitions (more information on intellectual programming will come at a later date).
  • All community gatherings including: the Alumni of Color Reception, LGTBQ+ Reception, Veterans Reception, and Performing Arts Reception
  • Saturday Lunch Under the Tent
  • Starlight Celebration
  • Access to the new Lion's Lounge - the hospitality tent on Low Plaza, which includes grab-and-go snacks and beverages, and entertainment throughout the weekend

How should I dress?

Casual dress is suggested for daytime activities. Business attire is recommended for class receptions and dinners. And Columbia blue is always welcome!

Is childcare available?

Yes! Details are as follows: 

Camp Columbia for Kids $100 flat rate (8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.)

Children ages 3 to 12 can enjoy a full program run by Corporate Kids Events, a child care program in existence since 1998. Activities will be available from morning to evening on Saturday, June 1, with a break to join family members at the Lunch Under the Tents, included in the price. Breakfast and dinner will be served on-site. When you register for Reunion, please make sure to register your child for this event as well.

What is the cancellation policy?

A full refund will be granted if you cancel by Wednesday, May 22, at 5:00 p.m. EST. Please note, donations are non refundable.

Is the Columbia Alumni Center open during Reunion?

The Columbia Alumni Center will not be open to alumni and guests during Reunion. Reunion events will take place in various locations on campus. For any questions, please feel free to head to Lerner Hall, 2nd floor and a representative will be able to assist you.

What are the health and safety protocols?

How can I receive special assistance?

If you require special assistance during your campus visit, please contact us by Wednesday, May 1, and we will do our best to accommodate the request but not guaranteed. Please direct all requests to [email protected].

Is there a limit to the number of events for which I can register?

No, you are welcome to register for as many or as few events as you’d like! Please note that when you register for Reunion, you have access to all intellectual programs, community gatherings, Saturday Lunch under the tent, The Starlight Celebration, along with access to the new Lions’ lounge located in Low Plaza. Additional programming is available and may be subject to an additional cost.
