Our Mission and Priorities

The mission of our Office is to foster an environment in which all members of the Columbia Engineering community, past and present, feel empowered to thrive as they are and where their perspectives and identities are valued. Driven by our core mission, Engineering for Humanity, we believe true innovation is only possible when we harness the talents, perspectives, creativity, and intellectual richness of our entire community. 

ECE offers a variety of programs and services to engage and develop all undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and future members of the Columbia community.

Our office strengthens community engagement by fostering dialogue and celebrating the unique experiences of all SEAS members.
