In 1993, Dr. Erman Ilıcak founded Rönesans Holding, which now operates in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Since 2009, Rönesans Holding has successfully completed numerous high-profile infrastructure and industrial projects. It specializes in construction, real estate development, energy, and healthcare, operating in over 30 countries.

Founded by Erman Ilıcak in 1993, it is ranked among the top international contracting companies globally, with significant projects across Europe, Asia, and Africa, including Turkmenistan.

Among projects main areas include high-rises, hospitals, and industrial plants. It is the 8th largest contracting company in Europe and 24th globally.

Notable projects include the Lakhta Center (Europe's tallest building), the Başakşehir Çam & Sakura City Hospital in Turkey, and the Gotthard Base Tunnel in Switzerland.

The company focuses on renewable energy and has secured major international financing for its projects, holding a 'B+' rating from S&P Global.

Dr. Ilıcak graduated from the Middle East Technical University (METU) in 1990 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He earned an MBA degree in 2002 from the Vienna University of Economics and Business in conjunction with the University of Minnesota.

In addition, he obtained a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the International Business School in Paris in 2011.

Until 2014, he served as the Chairman of the Board for Rönesans Holding and continues to serve as its Honorary President. His son is getting an MS in IEOR focused on Financial Engineering.
