Stella Li

In 1992, Ms. Stella Li, a statistics graduate, graduated from Fudan University, one of the top five universities in China. In September 1996, she joined the BYD Group as marketing manager. From 2002 to 2006, Ms. Stella Li was in charge of the general management of the marketing and sales department, mainly in charge of cellular components and modules. 

Currently, Ms. Li serves as Executive Vice President of BYD and President of BYD North America, a global clean technology company based in Los Angeles, California. Stella is responsible for the company's operations management and strategic planning. Ms. Li has launched and promoted BYD's cutting-edge technology and eco-friendly products in North America and Latin America, and which have reached around the world, including electric vehicles, battery energy storage solutions, solar panels and energy-efficient LED lighting systems. 

Considered to be responsible for the expansion of BYD's operations in the Americas, in 2011 Stella founded BYD's North American Headquarters in Los Angeles, California. In 2013, she established electric bus, truck and battery factories in Lancaster. She is also responsible for the impressive expansion of the BYD brand in the Americas. As President of BYD Americas, she has led the expansion strategy and worked tirelessly to position the brand in the U.S. market and across the continent.

As Executive Vice President of BYD, Stella was responsible for expanding the company's global operations. In 1997, she founded BYD's first overseas office in Hong Kong. In 1999, she founded BYD's European headquarters. With Stella's leadership, BYD experienced exponential market growth, developed invaluable partnerships and made the company a dominant leader in multiple industries around the world. In November 2023, she was recognized by Time magazine as one of the leaders driving climate action on the TIME100 Climate list. Her dedication and leadership at BYD have been instrumental in promoting sustainable solutions.
