Andy Chae (he/his/him) is the Assistant Dean of Engineering Student Affairs, leading the efforts to maintain, cultivate and promote a healthy, vibrant graduate student community and student leaders.
Andy Chae (he/his/him) is the Assistant Dean of Engineering Student Affairs, managing the life cycle of the graduate student experience at Columbia Engineering, to create a vibrant community.
Andy serves as the advisor to the Engineering Graduate Student Council (EGSC) and other student-led organizations, managing over 260 student meetings and events annually. He is a strong student advocate with experience in academic advising, admissions, financial aid, student leadership, student activities, and residence life.
Andy earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Boston University. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in NYU Steinhardt's Sociology of Education program, where his research focuses on the experiences of Asian faculty, administrators, and students at U.S. institutions of higher education.
