Beatrice Mhando

She is in charge of social media for the school of engineering, creating various degrees of content to promote engineering life at Columbia’s campus. In addition to social media, Beatrice writes engaging editorial stories focusing on student life, alumni stories, and campus events for the Columbia Engineering website.

A graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in Communication Studies, Beatrice brings her academic background to her work. Her skill set in content creation, graphic design, writing and photography helps connect digital audiences with the “Engineering for Humanity” mission. 

Outside the office, she's an avid traveler and concert-enjoyer. Beatrice is also the proud and tired mother of twin black cats, Zuri and Zola.
