Helen Cen

Her role involves overseeing various aspects of graduate student affairs, such as academic and student affairs, graduate student housing, crisis management, and dean's discipline-related matters. Additionally, Helen manages and advises on best practices regarding academic policies and exceptions, and she works closely with academic departments/programs.

Helen joined the Columbia Engineering in 2019. Prior to joining the Dean's Office, she was the Associate Director of Academic and Student Affairs at Columbia Engineering's Department of Biomedical Engineering. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources from Cornell University, as well as a Master of Science degree in Earth and Environmental Engineering from Columbia University. Helen is dedicated to improving the student experience and helping students achieve their educational goals.
