Jordan Appel joined Columbia Engineering in July 2026, bringing a diverse skillset to the communications team, including website management, email marketing and workflow optimization.
Most recently, as a Digital Media and AI Consultant for the MJS Foundation — a sister organization of the Simons Foundation, where he also worked — Jordan successfully pitched and led a customized workshop on AI prompting techniques using Google's Gemini for the summer intern cohort.
He also managed growth and email marketing outreach as a Marketing/Research Associate for CommunicationsMatch, a startup platform connecting global PR agencies, freelancers and consultants with strategic business leads.
Jordan's background spans the philanthropy, nonprofit and healthcare sectors, with experience in database optimization, social media content management and event coordination.
He earned his bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Rowan University.
Jordan is proud to be a Toastmaster, a published poet, a music enthusiast and a Yankees fan.
