Kim Marie Pacanovsky
Finance Director in the Columbia Nano Initiative (CNI)
As Finance Director of the Columbia Nano Initiative, Kim is responsible for tracking and forecasting CNI revenues, providing ad hoc reporting, and coordinating with both SEAS and A&S on finance and budgets.
She works with CNI’s Director of Finance & Administration, grant managers and purchasing staff to ensure compliance with federal, sponsor and University regulations, and additionally is both pre-award and post-award manager for two of CNI’s most active PIs. Kim holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Stony Brook University and joined Columbia in 2016 after a 20+ year career as an oil and gas analyst on Wall Street.
