Kyoko Thompson

Associate Director of Research Development

Kyoko is a researcher and writer with a passion for finding scalable scientific solutions to some of the world's most indelible problems.

Before joining Columbia Engineering, spent several years focusing on women's health and rights in the Global South, working with and for organizations such as Nivi, UNICEF, UNFPA, Marie Stopes International, and Columbia University. She has a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, a Master of Public Health from NYU, and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut. On weekends she can often be found running, hiking, or camping with her beloved dog, Rudy.
