Maria Sukhanova

Maria Sukhanova oversees the Department of Computer Science’s budgeting and financial planning processes, manages pre-award and post-award activities, and provides oversight and direction for the department’s financial transactions and accounting practices. In addition to these financial components, Maria manages the administrative staffing and coordination, faculty recruitment and onboarding, and student affairs.

She has over fifteen years of experience in higher education administration, having served at Stony Brook University, Yeshiva University and most recently Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs-Center on Global Energy Policy. She holds an MBA in Finance, an MS in Human Resource Management from Stony Brook University, and BS degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Adelphi University.
