Adjunct Professor Teaching Introduction to Machining

Recently retired from being the Lab Manager of the undergraduate lab in the Mechanical Engineering Department for 35 years, Bob Stark is now an adjunct professor teaching Introduction to Machining.

Having earned a B.S. from Cooper Union (1980) and an M.S. from Columbia University (1982), Bob worked at Bell Labs for 5 years, then taught in the NYC public schools for another year before coming to Columbia. Over the years Bob has worked with students participating in FIRST Robotics, Solar Splash, AIAA Design and Fly, Formula SAE, and many more. To quote Yogi Berra, "In theory there is no difference between theory and practice-- in practice there is."
