Waichi Ho

Multi-cultural and multi-lingual, she has lived, studied and worked in China, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, Russia, and Switzerland. She speaks English, Chinese, German, French and Italian. Throughout her career, she has specialized in international, mission-driven and highly collaborative organizations, such as the Yale University Council for East Asian Studies, the Institute for Global Health at USCF and the WI Harper Group. In 2001 she was invited to join the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, a new international public-private partnership established by the G8 and other international donors to raise billions of dollars in funding to counteract the devastation of these three major pandemics. In 2004, Waichi returned stateside as Associate Director, and later Executive Director, of Columbia University’s Weatherhead East Asian Institute. Since 2016, she has occupied her current role as Director of Finance & Administration at the Columbia Nano Initiative, a joint venture of Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Arts & Sciences at Columbia University.
