Ying Xu
Assistant Director, Graduate Admissions Recruitment and Communications
Ying Xu is the Assistant Director of Admissions and Communications at Columbia Engineering Graduate Admissions Office.
In this role, she is responsible for conducting domestic and international graduate student recruitment, collaborating with departmental committees to make admissions decisions, implementing marketing and communications strategies, and organizing events like information sessions and conferences.
Ying Xu has over 15 years of experience in U.S. higher education. She possesses a deep understanding of the U.S. and international education systems and solid experience in undergraduate and graduate recruitment. Ying enjoys helping students find their best fit and shares her experiences and passion with colleagues by presenting at multiple conferences, including NAFSA and IACAC. She holds two master’s degrees, one in Management Information Systems (MIS) and an MBA from the University of Iowa. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling with friends.
