George Ellis

‘79; Director, Global Logistics Procurement at Corteva, Inc.

George Ellis is the Director, Global Logistics Procurement at Corteva, Inc. (also known as Corteva AgriscienceTM), an American agricultural chemical and seed company with $14 billion in 2020 sales. As a member of Corteva’s Global Procurement leadership team, George is responsible for directing global sourcing and supplier management activities related to transportation and warehousing services.

Prior to joining Corteva, George was the Vice President of Global Supply Chain at Chemonics International, the largest implementer of US Agency for International Development (USAID) programs. He directed the global sourcing and distribution of HIV/AIDS pharmaceuticals, malaria treatments, and reproductive health products destined for 72 developing countries. Over the past 30 years, George has worked in supply chain leadership positions at several companies, including: Merck, Tyco International, Raytheon Company and Penske Logistics.

George is a graduate of Harvard Business School and earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science. Outside of work, George enjoys spending time with his wife, three adult children and five grandsons. He is passionate about supporting community programs related to STEM, youth development and food security, and previously served as Board Chairman of the Boys and Girls Clubs of MetroWest, with clubs in Framingham, Hudson and Natick, Massachusetts. George currently serves as Board Chair of the Harvard Business School African-American Alumni Association.
