Integrated Bachelors and Masters Degrees

Highly motivated and qualified Columbia Engineering juniors can earn both their BS and MS degrees in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering in a seamless and flexible integrated degree program. Up to six points of courses count twice – once for your BS and once for your MS. The program gives you greater flexibility in scheduling prerequisite courses and you can begin your MS program in your senior year. Plus, summer research projects after your senior year receive credit toward your MS.

The Integrated Electrical Engineering BS-to-MS Program

Combine your foundational education in fundamental concepts and analytical tools of contemporary electrical engineering with advanced education in specialized subdisciplines including telecommunications, microelectronics, digital systems, or photonics. Deadline to submit the one-page application is April 30 of the junior year. Learn more details about the program.

The Integrated Biomedical Engineering BS-to-MS Program

Learn how to apply engineering and applied science to problems in biology, medicine, and the understanding of living systems and their behavior, and to develop biomedical systems and devices. Deadline to submit the one-page application is April 30 of the junior year. Learn more details about the program.

The Integrated Mechanical Engineering BS-to-MS Program

Develop working knowledge about dynamics and controls, mechanics and materials, and thermal fluids systems and identify a specialty concentration tailored to your interests. Then seamlessly apply that knowledge in pioneering experimental, computational or analytical research in the fields of energy systems, micro/ nanoscale engineering, or robotics and control. Deadline to submit the one-page application is April 30 of the junior year. Learn more details about the program.
