Zoe Lin '03SIPA is an anchor on TTV Evening News, the host of Global Insight on TTV News, and an award-winning journalist.

Zoe reported on many of Taiwan's biggest stories domestically and internationally before she began her prime-time role as an anchor in 2010. As a political correspondent, she covered former Taiwan President Ma Ying-Jeou from his time as Taipei mayor in 2003 into his presidential career. In one historic moment, Zoe led the TTV News team in witnessing live the president's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Singapore in 2015. 

Now, as a full-time anchor and news magazine program host, Zoe has covered numerous world-renowned figures as well as local politicians, entrepreneurs, and entertainers, including current President Tsai Ing-wen, former President Ma Ying-Jeou, founding president of China Google Li Kai-Fu, author of Megatrends John Nasbitt, founder of CHIMEI group Hsu Wen-long, Hollywood actor John Cusack, famous tenor Jose Carreras, and Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung. Zoe also interviewed Randy Jackson, music producer and judge on “American Idol,” at the 26th Golden Melody Awards in 2015.

In 2019, Zoe and her team members received the Excellent Journalism Award, commonly recognized as the Pulitzer Prize of Taiwan, for their outstanding live broadcasting of the successful launch of Taiwan's FORMOSAT-7 satellite. In 2011, Zoe also received the Excellent Journalism Award for her coverage of the Christchurch earthquake in New Zealand. Prior to that, she received the Best Host Award and Best Reporting Award in the Rotary Golden Award for news of public service in June 2010, which featured the inadequacy of compulsory education in remote areas of Taiwan. In 2009, Zoe’s special report exploring the outlook of water development and management won the Rotary Golden Award Best Reporting Award as well. Lin’s feature story on the ecological problems of China’s Three Gorges Dam received the honorary Cross Strait News Reporting Award presented by Mainland Affairs Council in 2006.

More recently, in 2022, Zoe’s international news program Global Insight was nominated "Best TV news program" by the Excellent Journalism Award, and TTV’s documentary Black Golden Past hosted by Zoe won the Tseng Hsu-Pai Journalism Award in Taiwan. The documentary recorded the history of Taiwan’s petroleum production from the Japanese colonial period to the current era, honoring unknown heroes who contributed their lives to Taiwan’s oil industry.  

Zoe Lin started her TV journalism career with TTV in 2003 upon graduating from Columbia University's master’s program in international affairs. In 2001, she graduated with honors from National Chengchi University in Taiwan with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Zoe and her family currently live in Taipei, Taiwan.
