Who is eligible?

Undergraduates from Columbia, NYU, Cornell Tech, or CUNY who will be rising juniors or seniors in the summer of the program. You must not already have a bachelor's degree or be graduating before the program ends.

Is housing provided?

Some projects offer a housing allowance, but it may vary by institution and project. Please check the project details or contact us for specifics.

What is the stipend?

The program provides a $6000 research stipend for the summer. Some projects may also offer a housing allowance.

Do I need prior research experience?

No prior research experience is required! We welcome students with a strong interest in cybersecurity and a willingness to learn.

Can international students apply?

What are the program dates?

The program runs for 10 weeks, starting from late May or early June, depending on your project and institution. See the timeline for specific dates.

Can I participate if I have summer classes or another job?

No, the REU is a full-time commitment. You are expected to participate in all program activities and should not have other major obligations during the program.
