Initial Presentations, Welcome and Kickoff

Students who started 5/28 will give 5-minute presentations on their projects. Students starting this week will introduce themselves. Following the presentations, we will repeat the kickoff presentation for those starting this week.
Hands-on Workshop on GenAI and Online Abuse

This interactive workshop will explore the potential abuses of generative AI and ways to mitigate such abuses. Please bring a laptop for hands-on activities. After the workshop, meet Cornell Tech's SETS fellows and hear about their work. Lunch will be provided.
Getting Involved in Cybersecurity Activities

Students from NYU's OSIRIS Lab will talk about the cybersecurity activities they run, and how and why students can (and should) get involved. OSIRIS is a student-run cyber security research lab at NYU. Learn about their work and how to participate in similar activities elsewhere.
Research Seminar: Health Privacy & Web Tracking

Eric Zeng from Georgetown University will present a research seminar on the risks to users' health privacy posed by third-party web tracking and targeted advertising. The talk will be followed by lunch and an opportunity for discussion.

Talk: Sonia Vanier, Ecole Polytechnique

Sonia Vanier from Ecole Polytechnique will give a talk on predicting and analyzing memorization within fine-tuned large language models. The event will include lunch and a chance to meet the speaker.
Grad Student Panel

A panel of PhD students will share their research experiences and answer questions about graduate school and research life. Professors will also join to provide additional perspective. This is a great opportunity to learn about academic paths and ask questions.
Visit to Amazon Web Services

Amazon JFK27, 12 W. 39th St, NYC
We will be hosted by a security research group at Amazon Web Services for a full-day event. The day includes a visit to the Amazon Builder Lab, lunch, and talks by Amazon researchers on security and generative AI. Arrive at 10:15am at Amazon JFK27. After the Builder Lab, we will walk to another building for lunch and presentations.
Final Presentations

Students will give their final presentations to the cohort, mentors, and faculty. This is the culminating event of the program. Lunch will be provided, and mentors are encouraged to attend.
